We left Balmorhea State Park on Friday and arrived at Hueco (pronounced Waco for people like Wayne), Tanks State Historical Park about 2:30. We were planning on leaving here on Saturday, but they were supposed to have winds up to 40 mph, so we decided to stay here until Sunday. We spent Friday late afternoon rock climbing. It was lots of fun. Then on Saturday, we drove into El Paso and went shopping for new boots for Wayne. Then we at lunch at Furrs and came back to the park. Spent the afternoon napping and just sitting around and relaxing. Then we loaded all the cooking gear and stuff up and got ready to pull out of here in the morning. We are going to try to make it to Clifton, AZ tomorrow. It's about 250 miles from here. I guess it depends alot on the weather. Will add pictures later. I love and miss you all, but having a good time. Please keep in touch.

ReplyDeleteKathy & Wayne, so happy for you getting to travel. Butch is working hard as ever, such the workaholic! It is great being able to read all about your travels. Take care and God's travel mercies to you both.
