Williams, Arizona, May 28, 2013
Well, today we left Homolovi State Park in Winslow and moved to Williams, AZ. It was only about a 100 mile trip. We got here right about noon. We set up and went to eat some lunch, and went by the train depot and gift shop. They have a train that takes you to the Grand Canyon from here. We considered riding the train, but I get motion-sickness so badly, that we decided we are going to drive there. It's only about 50 miles from here. This is a really neat, little town. Has lots of shops and it is a beautiful park. AND........they have TREES!!!!! We haven't seen trees since we left Kerrville, TX. Well, I guess that's not exactly true. We spent 1 night at Apache National Forest, and they had trees. But, most of our trip has been deserts, mountains, mesquite trees and cactus. It's nice to be surrounded by green trees. The temperature here is supposed to be 35 degrees in the morning. It was only in the high 60"s this afternoon. And the wind blows constantly during the day. (Every day) We saw the highest peak in Arizona today and it still had snow on the top. I'll post about our Grand Canyon trip in the next day or 2. Stay safe and I love you all.
