We  left Hueco Tanks State Park on the 19th of May. When we arrived at Clifton, they RV park we were planning on staying in was booked up. It was still early in the day, so we decided to go on to the next town. We picked out our route and headed out. We went about 13 miles straight up this mountain. When we got to the top, there was a tunnel through the mountain. The height on this tunnel was 12'7". Well, guess what? Our RV is 12'11" tall. Sooooooooooo, we had to turn around and go back down the mountain. We stopped at a store and asked how to get to Alpine, Arizona. We got directions and here we went again. This route was continuous up and down mountains forEVER. We finally got to the top and their was a National Forest Campground. So, we stopped and stayed there for the night. There were only 3 other campers in the the campground. We climbed a mountain and really saw some beautiful country. We went to bed REALLY early, because we had been traveling for about 9 hours that day. We woke up early and left the Apache National Forest at 6:10 a.m. the next morning. We arrived in Sun Valley, AZ about 2:00  that day, and met up with Wayne's old Marine Corps buddy and his wife. We spent 2 nights at the Route 66 RV Park and decided to move to Winslow, AZ to a state park. So that is where we are now. In the middle of the Arizona desert, where the wind blows about 20 to 29 mph all day every day. We went to the Petrified Forest today and enjoyed the 28 mile ride through it. It is simply beautiful. Lots of good pictures. I hope I can get them posted on here. The internet is sooooooooo slow, but we'll see. We will be here until next Tuesday, when we will move to Williams, AZ. From there, we will go to the Grand Canyon. Will try to keep everyone posted. Having a great time!!!! Love you all.

This is our wonderful tunnel. Thank God they had a turn-a-round up there.
